Door & Lift Systems
At Pro-Tech Woodworking, we use hardware from trusted manufacturers such as Blum, Richelieu, Würth, and other proven industry brands. For each project, we select the most practical, comfortable, and reliable solution based on the cabinet design and functional requirements.
Available options may include standard hinged doors, lift-up fronts, bi-fold lift systems, vertical lift systems, and stay-lift flap doors. The final system is selected based on cabinet construction, front size, intended use, hardware requirements, and the overall project design.
Hinged Doors
Hinged Doors are the standard cabinet door system used for base cabinets, wall cabinets, tall cabinets, vanities, and custom storage areas. Doors open outward from the side using concealed hinges, creating a clean look and reliable everyday function.
At Pro-Tech Woodworking, hinged doors are equipped only with soft-close hinges, allowing the doors to close smoothly and quietly without slamming. This improves comfort, protects the cabinet structure, and provides a more refined user experience.
Hinges are selected based on the cabinet construction, door size, overlay type, opening angle, and project requirements.
Lift-Up Fronts
Lift-Up Fronts are used for upper cabinets where the front opens upward instead of swinging outward. This system is ideal for wall cabinets, horizontal upper cabinets, appliance garages, and specialty storage areas where convenient access and a clean modern look are important.
Lift-up fronts are equipped with reliable lift mechanisms that allow the cabinet front to open smoothly, stay securely in the open position, and close in a controlled way.
Lift systems are selected based on cabinet size, front height, front weight, opening angle, hardware requirements, and overall project design.
Drawer Slides
Drawer Slides provide smooth, stable, and reliable movement for cabinet drawers. They are used in base cabinets, drawer cabinets, vanities, tall storage cabinets, pull-outs, and custom storage applications.
We typically use undermount soft-close drawer slides, selected according to drawer depth, cabinet construction, drawer size, and required weight capacity.
Common slide lengths include 9", 12", 15", 18", and 21", with the final size selected based on the cabinet depth and drawer configuration. Soft-close slides allow drawers to close smoothly and quietly, helping reduce impact, protect the cabinet structure, and improve everyday comfort.
Pocket Door Systems
Pocket Door Systems allow cabinet doors to open and slide back into a side pocket or cabinet cavity, keeping the doors hidden when the cabinet is in use. This solution is commonly used for appliance garages, coffee stations, bar cabinets, laundry cabinets, entertainment centers, and other specialty storage areas where clean access and a concealed look are important.
Pocket door systems are selected based on cabinet size, door height and width, door weight, opening direction, hardware requirements, and the overall project design.
